Mar. 19th, 2025: Sum Mysteries #2

In continuation of my Mystery of the North series, I want to comment on a number of mysteries that were disclosed to me lately.

Mystery of Sinai & Seir.

The “Face of God” (Gen. 33:10) is analogised to the Sun. It is when Jacob left Beersheba, that “the Sun was set” on him (ibid. 28:11). However, after Jacob recognises God “face to face” (ibid. 32:30)—only then (ibid. 32:31) “the Sun rose upon him”. So, it is when the Sun “rises” upon Jacob, that he is fit—to view Esau’s divine Face.

When it is written that “the Sun was set” on Jacob, the word for “was set” is בא (which literally means “came”). This is the same word used to depict Jehowah’s “coming” from Sinai (Deut. 33:2). The word for the “rising” of the Sun, on Jacob, then, is ויזרח&, this same verb is used to depict Jehowah’s “rising” from Seir (ibid.).

It is thereby understood that Sinai (i.e., Mosaic Law) is in the aspect of “setting” or “evening”; while Seir (the Grace & the Truth [Jhn. 1:17] of Christ’s) is in the aspect of “rising” or “dawning”.

It would be then understood that Deuteronomy 33:2 predicts the superseding of Mosaic Law by Christian Ethics.

Mystery of Tohu.

The word which the Targum (aka, the Chaldean Bible), uses to translate the Hebrew תהו (Tohu, meaning “emptiness”, or “formlessness”), is צדיא (Zadja). This word is used to depict the “Barren Land” (Heb. ארץ ציה), in Joel 2:20, to which the “Northern Army” is driven. This supplements the association of North with Tohu in Job 26:7 (see relevant post).

The mystery of Zadja, is that its etymology is from the word Zajid (ציד), which does qualify Esau (cf. Gen. 25:27-28), & means “Hunting” or “Venison”.

In continuation of my recent Mystery of the North post, we will then comprehend Esau as typified by the North, and now also by the Tohu, which in Chaldee is the Zadja, the venison. And so it is understood that the Tohu of the North/Esau has to be sealed & “finished”, to prepare Christ’s Place & “Knot of Faith”—by which “The House” (Gen. 33:17) is erected.
