So, in continuation for my previous post, I want to furtherly discuss the significance of the Tribe of Dan, & to refute the interpretation (advocated by the Church Fathers) viewing it as – exclusively – the Tribe of the Antichrist.

The book of Revelation is – somewhat – inferior to the Gospel & to Paul’s Epistles. Nevertheless, I see no trouble posed to my thesis by Revelation 7 (omitting the Tribe of Dan from the list of the “justified” tribes, marked with the Seal of the Lord) – &, let me explain:

While the Tribe of Dan is left-out, sure, the Tribe of Joseph is mentioned twice in the chapter – once, taking the name of Manasses, and secondly with the name of Joseph.

Now, here’s the issue: the name of Joseph (יוסף, Josef), has this eymological root: אסף (ASF). This is why when begotten by Rachel, she exclaimed: “God hath taken-away [אסף] my reproach” (Gen. 30:23).

This etymological root also grounds the word מאסף, (“Rear Guard”) – which qualifies Dan (Num. 10:25)! (so does the Megallee Amukkott elucidate – here).

Thereby, it is understood that there’s an equivalence between the Tribes of Dan & Joseph. This is why Joseph is called the “Other Son” (Gen. 30:24) – he typifies the “Repentant” Son, the Messiah, Ben Joseph; who is in the aspect of Dan, the North (Num. 2:25), of the Ox, (Ezk. 1:10); of the Gold (Job 37:22); the divine faculty of Judgment.

This has to do with a subject, upon which I do touch in my recently published book – the (Jhn. 14:2) “Preparation”, of the Place; which is truly the Preparation of the Side of North (Ps. 48:2), upon which Man’s erected anew. The Preparation of that Northern “Thigh” (ירך, cf. Lev. 1:11), is the Tikkun (Chaldee equivalent of Christ’s ἑτοιμάσαι [hetoimazoi, Jhn. 14:2]; cf. Targum’s trans. of the root כון, identified with “To Prepare”, Jhn. 14:2, by the Strong Lexicon), of the Tribe of Dan. The erection of the Cross – the Upright Form of Man.
